6 x worksheets of 8 mark exam practice questions and 6 x easy to follow peer assessment mark schemes for Citizenship GCSE 9-1. No AQA past exam questions have been used here - all of these are brand new (but created by an experienced AQA marker, based on how the questions are always structured).
The mark schemes have been completely rewritten to put them into student speak, so this pack could easily be split into homeworks or plenaries you can get the students to mark - so no extra work for you.

ONE YEAR OF RESOURCES - Be ready for the new 2020 DfE guidelines! 1 Year’s worth of Yr 9 PSHE resources! Now 36 x fully resourced, highly-rated PSHE lesson packs (and one hour-long quiz) and units created to fit the new DfE 2020 Guidance for PSHE and the PSHE Association’s new additional topic suggestions.
All 36 lesson packs (bundled into 20 separate downloads) are complete with at least one hour-long Powerpoint, accompanying differentiated worksheets, clip links with questions, plenaries, clear LOs, starters and all are well differentiated to three levels throughout. An editable end of term assembly with a focus on being grateful and thankful. Many more slides here than you see on the preview! The narrative follows three children and how their lives have changed due to circumstances beyond their control. It lasts about 15-20 minutes if clip is watched too. The assembly emphasises the value of education and how lucky the students are to live in a country with free access to school. It challenges them to think about others less fortunate throughout their break and to come back refreshed but also appreciating how lucky they are.
It has a couple of jokes thrown in and interesting facts too and ends on a happy note :)

Citizenship GCSE 9-1 Complete Unit (14 hours) for Life in Modern Britain. Made for AQA, but all editable and covers the vast majority of Edexcel and OCR content too.

UPDATED with additional exam practice! 2 hour detailed and well-differentiated lesson which covers the AQA Citizenship GCSE spec for Politics and Participation.
In particular:
The institutions of the British constitution: the power of government, the Prime Minister and cabinet; the sovereignty of Parliament; the roles of the legislature, the opposition, political parties, the Monarch, citizens, the judiciary, the police and the Civil Service.
How the relationships between the institutions form an uncodified British constitution and examples of how this is changing.
The lesson includes a 2 hour detailed PowerPoint, information sheets, differentiated activity worksheets, differentiated challenge activities, exam practice questions and clips tasks. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.

Created to run over 2 x 25 minute Tutor Time sessions, this lesson is an introduction to British far-right extremism and so-called ‘Tommy Robinson’. It could just as easily be used as an hour long Citizenship or PSHE session as there is a lot to talk about and lots of tasks to cover.
Students will explore the truth about ‘Tommy Robinson’ and his criminal background as well the history of fascist and nationalist-groups in the UK and why this isn’t something we can just ignore.

12 pages of revision activities all with a focus on law, the economy, public spending and campaigning for these sections of the new GCSE 9-1 Citizenship spec. All these have been selected as stand alone activities from my Citizenship GCSE lessons and can be printed out and given as a 12 page revision guide which students can use at home, or printed individually and set as revision homeworks.

Drop Down Day / Off Timetable Day Pack - A set of 6 lessons to cover a Drop Down Day (6 hours) all about democracy, elections and voting.
The Drop Down Day was put together for Year 9 originally, but all the resources are editable and well-differentiated so it could be used with any year group KS4 / KS3 with a tweak or so.
The overall theme for the series of KS3 Drop Down Days was ‘British Values’, so this is just one in a series of six which ran throughout the year. The day works especially well if you can align it with voting for the student council or prefects. At the end of the sessions, after carefully studying the democratic process, the students could come down to the hall to cast their vote.
There is much focus on British Values throughout the lessons as this was planned to ensure thorough coverage of Citizenship and SMSC.
All these individual lessons have been rated very highly by Tes users and are tried and tested in my own department.
